things happen for a reason
Monday, July 30 @ 12:49 AM

ugh i'm at a loss for words again. had the urge to blog right away but cant seem to find the right words.

i'm starting to believe that things happen for a reason. if you notice, before something significant actually happens, there is always some form of lead-up to it, like how you thought you saw someone whom you haven seen for years again; how you finally decided to start watching a taiwanese drama which you'd been either too lazy or busy to do so in the past, how you started searching for and listening to emo chinese songs. the thought of this is rather disturbing - does it mean that one's thoughts and actions are actually dictated by a higher being up there; or is it just me reading too much into things? if we were to agree that things happen for a reason, what is then, the eventual outcome that's supposed to occur? could this also be the lead-up to something else?

hmm.

post-hiatus

just saw that the last time i blogged was 7 july, which was more than 2 weeks ago! each time i tried to blog, there were just so many things i wanted to talk about but i dint know where to start or how to go about writing so i figured i shall just not do anything. have been quite lazy with my camera too so there were no photo updates for quite some time. i managed to kop some from ping so here you go!

during the second night of bondue camp run 1 which we crashed. i cant wait for run 2 which is just next friday! oh did i forget to say that i dyed my hair RED?

the most eventful thing that happened during my period of hiatus must be dedicated to aaron's birthday!

we went to outback steakhouse (finally!) for the dinner and that was the alice spring chicken which all six of us ordered. it was sinfully good, what with the chicken/cheese/BACON/mushroom combination, to the extent that i wont want to eat it for a very long time again!

anyway i decided it's time to hit the library and start reading again. i think i haven't touched a book since jc ended which was ohmygoshly almost 2 years ago!

yay i'm back from bangkok and it was an awesome trip! my initial reservations about the safety of the place, what with all the political unstability going on, were rather uncalled for as it turned out to be quite nice and homely :) we simply shopped and ate the whole time we were there - SHIOK!

the hotel we stayed in. the four of us were momentarily shocked at the outlook of the building when we arrived - it looked completely different from the photos we saw online. but then again, it was not that bad considering the budget we had lol.

our adjacently connected rooms.

dinner at this restaurant called relax at suan lum. i would definitely recommend this place! it has the perfect ambience with old school songs playing in the background, great and cheap food while chilling out on the balcony top!

the green monsters at mbk.

swensons ice cream after a day of shopping.

seafood at chinatown.

i love this photo! seems like the whole world is moving except us lol.

pampering massage after a tiring day of shopping!

tuk tuk ride! i wldnt mind travelling around on this if not for the overpriced fees and bad air pollution!

the supermarket at siam paragon. it's like damn big and so much more fun to shop at than singapore's!

the phad thai at siam paragon food basement deserves one photo for itself! look at the succulent and fresh tiger prawns! it's like heavenly good! TOPS for this!

even the durians are humongous and fleshy and yummy!

dinner at condom restaurant. it's a really cool place to dine in; they give out free condoms instead of mints at the end of each meal, supposedly to encourage family planning? if you look closely enough, the mannequinns are actually dressed in condom costumes!

something interesting near the entrance.

my favourite wanton mee guy at the roadside near our hotel! where can you find such a funky guy cooking wanton mee with aviator shades! UPS! the made-with-love (lol!) wanton mee was delicious!

surprise encounter with pinkguy-lookalike lol!

at the reception area before we left.

at the airport.

welcoming the arrival of the king and the queen.
