vj reminiscence
Sunday, April 15 @ 11:10 AM

went back to vj the other day with min, ser and daphne :) first time in almost 2 years - not counting the time we went back to collect our alvl cert. mr harris was the first teacher we saw, sitting at the stone table as usual talking to the students, only he wasn't holding a cup of coffee in his hands this time. we learnt from him that mrs chan has left and is succeeded by a "little chubby old man" who appears to be more minister-like (think electoral campaigning visits) but really, he seems like a nice and friendly man. the treehouse is also closed down due to some alleged sighting of a python which mr harris compares to the loch ness monster lol. anyway we cldnt wait and decided to go for our recess along with the rest of the students. was quite surprised that the western food stall queue has dramatically decreased since the old days, only to find out that fried food ie fries, fish and chips, chicken/pork cutlet is restricted to only one day a week. AWW! the high-pitched auntie still retains the same enthusiasm level when greeting and taking orders lol! all the stalls are pretty much the same as we left, only the stall vendors have grown older. proceeded to the staff room after we ate to find the teachers. bumped into mr hoe before we could call him. it was quite an awkward situation i wld say, considering that he was our ct for 2 years - we dint have much to say to each other. seems like his new class is doing much better than us which is a really good thing to hear. i felt quite sorry that he had gotten us as his first form class for his teaching career but wells. he escorted us around the staff room :) saw mr teo, staring into space at the pantry while marking the papers. still the same person, witty and funny. passed by mr hoe's desk. the moomoo box we gave him as teachers' day present is still there along with the various little presents - i saw the monkey keychain i gave him! our class photos are also stuck on his board. went on to explore the staff room. ms tan has left for moe hq. was quite disappointed to hear that! i could imagine her with the sulky face! hope all goes well for her at hq! all the geog teachers are also gone except for ms lim :( the last teacher we met was cindy low! omg she's still the same chatty and funny person! it was really enjoyable talking to her! she suggested meeting up with the rest of the class!

anyway a pathetic 2 photos taken :\

no fish and chips so i settled for ham and cheese omelette :)

the swing is still there too.
